Favre 4 Ever

I found this video on youtube.com tonight. I'm sure most of you have already seen it but it was new for me. After watching this video, it's pretty easy to remember why Favre is and always will a symbol of not only packer football, but what football is all about.

And if you watched the game today. You need this video as a pick me up :)

Shaking My Head

I'm really not sure what happened out there today.

The proverbial wheels fell off. The Packers kept giving the game away and the Bills kept refusing to except it. It was one of those games that neither team deserved to win but because the Packers sucked just a little more than the Bills the football gods thought what the hell.

The only thing worse I can think of would be losing to the 49ers like the Vikings did just house later.

Although Noah Herron didn't see a ton of game time, I thought he gave overall the best effort. Donald Driver had a good game as usual.

I was a little disappointed with AJ Hawk today. He really didn't seem to be in the game for the most part. He got stuffed on almost every run.

The picture displays shocked packer fans.

Packers Play Short

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said there were two plays Monday night in which the Packers had only 10 defensive players on the field. Both plays came early in the second quarter when the Eagles were running their no-huddle offense, according to the Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers.

The Eagles were successful on the plays, with quarterback Donovan McNabb completing a 17-yard pass and a 21-yard pass to tight end L.J. Smith.

"We had two instances in the game when that happened," McCarthy said. "It's problems with the no-huddle. They're switching personnel groups."

McCarthy said the blame could be shared by everyone.

"It's all of our faults," McCarthy said. "It's game management is which it comes under. We had two in the game, which is not what we're looking for, obviously, and we need to get that fixed."

Disappointing Preseason

To say the preseason for the Green Bay Packers has been disappointing would be somewhat of an understatement.

Brett Favre and the offense haven't been able to move the ball, AJ Hawk and the defense haven't been able to stop the ball moving and special teams haven't exactly inspired. The only bright side to all of this, is the fact that it is just preseason, with thier last preseason game just over an hour away I hope the starters put on a little better show than we have seen so far.

Only time wil tell!!

B.J. Sander Released

The Green Bay Packers released punter B.J. Sander, bringing to an end a career that came to symbolize the disappointment associated with former coach Mike Sherman's brief stint as the team's general manager.

Sander won the Ray Guy award as the nation's top collegiate punter at Ohio State, but has failed to live up to high expectations since Sherman and the Packers traded up to take him in the third round of the 2004 NFL draft.

Green Bay signed Canadian Football League standout Jon Ryan in the offseason to compete with Sander in training camp. Sander's release makes Ryan, who has shown good leg strength in training camp, the favorite to win the punting job.

In a news release, the team noted that Ryan should expect to take all the snaps at punter in the final two weeks of the preseason, but said, "the move, however, doesn't guarantee Ryan the regular-season job. He continues to compete against all other punters in NFL camps who could be released by their respective teams and potentially signed by the Packers' pro personnel department."

Preseason Look

The big question from the offseason has been answered. Brett Favre will be returning to the Green Bay Packers for another season. He will look to put last years disappointing NFL season behind him.

Brett FavreFavre is still showing he has gas left in the tank and remains the Packers greatest hope of offensive production. Packer faithful are hoping new coach Mike McCarthy can take the team to the promise land. He has a history with Favre which some say played a part in his return.
